I also love these oval sunglasses for an everyday pair, and Petite Plume’s new pointelle pajama collection is so comfortable. I’ve been wearing them with jeans to go watch playoff games at the Canadian hockey bar, and with slip skirts and ballet flats otherwise. “This month, I got the last of my winter-y purchases in (I hope!), picking up this perfect grey cardigan from With Nothing Underneath, and my latest favorite pair of bootcut jeans, this time from Gap! I also travelled to Europe, and found out that this Easton Marley pouch is the perfect going out bag for a trip—it takes up absolutely no space in a suitcase, but is surprisingly roomy (bonus points for the cute tassel!). Another star in my vacation wardrobe was this Charlie Beads ‘90s bias mini skirt, which also folds up into almost nothing, and is an incredibly versatile piece. I’ve lost count on how many compliments I received, and can’t wait to wear it more in the spring. As for the shopping I did during my trip, most of it was second-hand, although I did pick up this bright teal linen shirt at Nuovo, a vintage shop in the Marais that also creates great basics of their own. “I’ve reached a point where buying something for myself without buying something for my baby feels almost… incorrect. She’s five months old, and already better dressed than I am. This month’s indulgence: a butter-yellow hand-smocked set from La Coqueta’s collaboration with Nicky Hilton. It has that perfect, heirloom-y sweetness—something you imagine being passed down, not outgrown—and I realized her wardrobe was severely lacking in yellow. A gap I’ve now filled.
Meanwhile, I’m deep in what can only be described as a matador phase. Tassels, braiding, frog closures—if it looks like it belongs in a Pedro Almodóvar film, I want it. I picked up a cropped bolero along these lines (mine is Mary McFadden, though this Oscar de la Renta version is dangerously good). It’s the kind of piece that does all the work for you—throw it on, and suddenly you have a point of view. And then, a bag for this strange, in-between season: not quite spring (in temperature!), not quite summer. A wilder addition to my closet was Réalisation’s Bianca top, because I can never get enough of leopard-print or going out tops. And speaking of leopard, I actually got this bright red Uniqlo scarf to wear with the leopard-print coat that I included in last month’s Buyer’s Rejoice. The classic bezel drop style means they are easy for everyday wear but the green shell gives them a fun twist that had everyone asking me about them. “I know we’re all obsessing over Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy at the moment, but one thing I can’t get behind is minimal jewelry—or worse, no jewelry at all. Cofounder Drew Ginsburg is a stacking pro and constantly shares the chicest inspiration on their social media accounts. There isn’t a single piece I wouldn’t wear.
